Concert Evenement Octobre Rose

Concert Evenement Octobre Rose

OCTOBRE ROSE 🎀

EXHIBITION | From Naples to Chantilly: The Collections of Queen Caroline Murat
📍Exhibition Venue: Salle du Jeu de Paume
📆Dates: June 6 to October 4, 2026 - 🕒Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Caroline Murat (1782–1839), sister of Napoleon I and Queen of Naples from 1808 alongside her husband Joachim Murat, was a great patron of the arts known as the “Queen of the Arts.” Fascinated by the Bay of Naples and the ancient sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, she built a remarkable collection while supporting major artists such as Ingres, Rebell, and Canova. The exhibition at the Musée Condé in the Château de Chantilly reconstructs this collection thanks to significant loans and recently reattributed works. It highlights Caroline Murat’s innovative taste and her essential role in the artistic influence of Naples in the early 19th century, inviting the public on a journey between Naples and Chantilly.

Candlelit Theater Evening | Pyramus and Thisbe

NEW | Candlelit Theatre Evening | Pyrame and Thisbe
Saturday 29 August at 8.00 pm
A candlelit theatre performance under the starry sky, where ancient words come to life!
As part of the celebrations marking the 400th anniversary of Théophile de Viau, this Baroque play comes to life at the very heart of the Maison de Sylvie, a place steeped in its history: it was here, in Chantilly, that the poet found refuge and inspiration, and that he named this pavilion in honour of the patroness who welcomed him. A candlelit theatre under the starry sky, where ancient words come to life in a timeless experience. The recitation in Old French reveals all its musicality and power, whilst the performance unfolds a Caravaggesque play of light and shadow, where faces and bodies emerge from the gloom with striking intensity.
